WEXFORD (KDKA) – A fatal crash on Interstate 79 closed the southbound lanes early Sunday morning.

According to our news partners at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the accident happened around 5:30 a.m. near the Wexford on-ramp.

A northbound vehicle went off the road, crossed the median and struck an oncoming tractor-trailer.

The tractor-trailer also collided with another vehicle traveling south.

Ibn Hoffman, 19, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two people were taken to area hospitals for treatment.
