WHITE TOWNSHIP (KDKA) — State police in Indiana County say they are investigating a report of the possible attempted luring of two children in White Township.

According to state police, the reported incident happened Wednesday between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Merrick Street.

State police say it was reported that an older man in a small green car asked two children, a boy and a girl, if they wanted candy to get into his vehicle.

The suspect is described as a white male possibly in his 60s or 70s.

Investigators say the suspect drove away after the children ran.

Anyone with information is being asked to call state police.
