Pens Send Tangradi Back To Minors

Pittsburgh (KDKA)- GM Ray Shero and head coach Dan Bylsma made a couple of interesting roster moves today.

The Pens reduced their training camp roster by seven players as they prepare for next week's season opener vs. Vancouver.

Forwards Ryan Craig, Nick Johnson, Colin McDonald and Eric Tangradi and goaltenders Scott Munroe and Brad Thiessen were assigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Defenseman Scott Harrington was returned to his junior team, the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL).

Craig, Johnson, McDonald and Munroe will have to clear waivers by Thursday at noon before joining WBS.

Here are the current list of Pens forward: Craig Adams, Aaron Asham, Matt Cooke, Sidney Crosby, Pascal Dupuis, Dustin Jeffrey, Tyler Kennedy, Chris Kunitz, Mark Letestu, Steve MacIntyre, Evgeni Malkin, James Neal, Richard Park, Nick Petersen, Jordan Staal, Steve Sullivan, Joe Vitale, Jason Williams.

Interesting names still on that list are MacIntyre, Park, Petersen, Vitale and Williams.

The Penguins have 32 players remaining on their training camp roster.
