ELLWOOD CITY (KDKA) — A teenager was injured in a hit-and-run accident in Ellwood City.

The 14-year-old was on his way to meet some friends when the accident happened.

He told police he was hit after 4:30 p.m. near Third Street and Pittsburgh Circle.

He then walked to a nearby house and called his mother who took him to Ellwood City Hospital.

He told police the car that hit him was a 2002 to 2006 model tan Pontiac driven by a white male believed to be between the ages 25 to 30.
