WILKINSBURG (KDKA) — A 9-year-old girl was sent to the hospital after colliding with a car this morning in Wilkinsburg.

According to officials with Allegheny County 911, it happened in the 400-block of Kelly Avenue near Kelly Elementary School.

Police say the girl got out of the car, ran into the street and into the side of a passing car.

They say she possibly injured her foot and was taken to Children’s Hospital to be checked out.

The driver stayed on the scene and will not be cited.
