Pitt's Lucas Nix Knee Update

Pittsburgh (KDKA)- The Pitt football team received some good news concerning the condition of offensive guard Lucas Nix.

Head coach Todd Graham released this statement concerning Nix:
"We received very positive feedback on Lucas Nix today from our medical staff as his MRI did not reveal any significant damage. Lucas will undergo an intense rehabilitation program and we are hopeful he will be back in action soon."

The senior lineman left last night's game vs. South Florida after the second play of the game with what looked like a serious knee injury.

Ryan Schlieper took over for Nix at right guard and seemed to play fairly well.

The Panthers have already lost left guard Chris Jacobson for the season with a knee injury.
