PITTSBURGH (NEWSRADIO 1020 KDKA) – With Bank of America’s announcement last week that it would begin charging its customers a monthly $5 fee to use its debit cards, many consumers are wondering whether their bank plans to do the same.

Bank of America is the largest bank in the country.

NewsRadio 1020 KDKA’s Mike Pintek talks with Pam Banks, senior counsel with Consumers Union, the nonprofit owners of Consumer Reports magazine.  Pintek asks Banks how Bank of America’s customers are reacting to the fee, and whether this is the start of a larger trend.
