Teens Sought After Boat Chase On Yough River

VERSAILLES (KDKA) -- Police are looking for four teenagers who led police on a chase on the Yough River.

The situation started in Coulter – about seven miles up the river. The young men are believed be in their late teens or early 20s.

They allegedly burglarized a boat, breaking into a shed and stealing a lot of fishing tackle.

The owner caught them in the act and called police. That prompted a chase on the Yough River.

"I was going down to check on my boat today and all of a sudden I see the kid running down through the yard," Jim Little, a theft victim, said.

"When I got to the end of the yard, I seen them go into another boat and take off down the river," he added.

The boat the men were on may have belonged to one of the men's relatives.

They eventually abandoned the boat and remain at large.

Police are now checking wooded areas around Versailles.
