2 Shot Outside Apartment Building In Homewood

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Two men are in critical condition following a shooting this afternoon in Homewood.

Pittsburgh Police say one or two shooters fired at a 19-year-old and a 20-year-old man outside an apartment building in the 7700-block of Kelly Street.

The men tried to run inside after they were shot, but the gunfire continued. Shots were fired into the building.

One of the victims collapsed on the porch. Police found the second victim on the second floor of the building.

Pittsburgh Police Commander Thomas Stangrecki said as many as 30 rounds were fired. No one inside was hit by a stray bullet.

The victims are in surgery at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.

The shooter or shooters were on foot.
