New Mic Rule Has NFL Centers Silent

PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) - As part of the new Collective Bargaining Agreement, NFL centers must wear a microphone so that the audio can enhance the TV viewers' experience.

The problem is, according to the players wearing them, is they could be announcing secret play code words, ruining the no huddle offense. The also said the wires are bulky and uncomfortable.

Players who don't wear the mic can be fined up to $5,000 for each offense.

KDKA AM's Larry and John talk to former Steelers' center Jeff Hartings about how he feels about centers wearing microphones and if this is good for the game.
