Couple Facing Charges After Using Counterfeit Money

GREENSBURG (KDKA) - Police have filed charges against two people who were allegedly passing counterfeit $10 bills around Westmoreland County.

John Herdman, 34, and Jennifer Liggett, 32, both of Bovard, are charged with forgery, theft by deception and criminal conspiracy.

The two allegedly used counterfeit $10 bills to purchase a money order at the Shop 'n Save in Greensburg.

According to police, the couple did not make the money, but knew it was fake when using it.

The female suspect told police that her boyfriend was given the money when he was in Monroeville selling marijuana.
