Man Arrested After Indiana County Standoff
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – A man was arrested after a standoff in Indiana County Monday night.
According to State Police, the incident happened at a residence on Spence Road in Washington Township around 10:30 p.m.
Troopers were initially called to the house after being informed that a man was inside with a gun and had threatened to harm himself.
Royden Lockard, 62, locked himself in a room and would not come out when troopers arrived.
He allegedly threatened the troopers and fired a .38-caliber hand gun while they were in the house.
Lockard did fight with the troopers, but was arrested and no one was injured.
He was taken to the Indiana County Jail and is being held on $100,000 straight cash bond.
