Alleged Drunk Driver Hits 2 Police Cars

ROSTRAVER TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- Police were responding to a call on Chestnut Avenue when all of a sudden a car came out of nowhere and sent one officer running for his life.

That Mount Pleasant Officer was Justin James. He was assisting Scottdale police on an unrelated call when 39-year-old Natalie Most slammed her car into a parked Volkswagen and then into a Scottdale police car.

Officer James was able to run up a hillside to get out of the way, but his car was hit.

One police officer described the sound of the impact as that of a house or chimney collapsing. People in the area were shocked by the noise and came running outside.

Police said Most had a blood alcohol level of more than three times the legal limit and had a case of wine in her car. Neither she, nor her dog, was injured.

Most is expected to be charged with DUI and other traffic citations.
