John Buccigross drops the puck talk with Bob PompeaniBy Bob Pompeani

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) – ESPN Sports Anchor John Buccigross talks hockey with Bob Pompeani. He gives his take on James Neal, the injuries piling up for the Pens, and who the favorites are in the Eastern Conference.

Buccigross says the Penguins were his pick to begin the year and he still believes in that pick a few weeks into the season. He said adding Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin to a team that is already succeeding is “a perfect mix to win the Stanley Cup.”

He continued to say that James Neal and Steve Sullivan are the perfect complements to Crosby when he returns to the lineup even though those two have had a good deal of early-season success with Malkin.

Buccigross touches on the Washington Capitals and says is still feels like there’s a disconnect in the organization. He also touches on the Flyers and says he can see potential problems down the road.

Lastly, Buccigross touches on NHL alignment and what the future may bring.
