Toys 'R Us Begins New Rewards Program

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Attention holiday shoppers -- another retailer is trying to get you into their store to help Santa with toys under the tree.

Toys 'R Us says anyone with their rewards card will get cash back for shopping at their stores between Sunday, October 30 and Christmas Eve.

"Every time they spend money during the holidays, they get 10 percent back on what they spend," Christy Blair, a Toys 'R Us store manager, said.

After Christmas, shoppers with a Toys 'R Us rewards card -- which is free -- will get emailed a coupon good at all Toys 'R Us stores equal to 10 percent of all the money you spend at this retail chain.

Shoppers like the incentive.

"It encourages you to shop and spend and lets you then purchase birthday gifts later on, so I think it's a good incentive," Jessica Dunn, of East Liverpool, Ohio, said.

"Things are so expensive and money's tight, so every bit of money back helps," T.J. Bencho, of Imperial, said.

You can get the card on line or at any Toys 'R Us store. Needless to say, other retailers are moving quickly with their own incentives in order to take advantage of your Christmas holiday shopping dollars.
