Woman Killed In Indiana County Crash
EAST WHEATFIELD TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – A woman delivering mail in Indiana County was killed this morning when her vehicle collided with a coal truck.
It happened on route 56 in East Wheatfield Township.
Shirley Hill, 58, of Homer City, was doing rural mail deliveries in her Honda sedan at the time. She pulled out of a driveway near a bad turn in the road into the path of the coal truck.
Hill died at the scene. She was not wearing a seatbelt.
Traffic was restricted for hours on Route 56 while state police and the coroner investigated.
