In your telecast yesterday, it was said that the soldiers returning home from WW2 didn’t ask for a handout for their sacrifice. No, THEY DIDN’T HAVE TO! The US government passed the GI Bill, the economy was flourishing. Veterans could buy homes, new cars, and even consider vacations, all the while raising a family ON ONE INCOME! Try doing that now! This hypocritical government and the hypocritical corporations that tout their patriotism could best honor these veterans by providing their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with jobs that pay a livable wage instead of doing everything in their power to decimate their fellow citizens and destroy their standard of living.
