SHADYSDE (KDKA) – One person was injured after being hit by a car in Shadyside early Saturday morning.

According to emergency dispatchers, the accident happened near the intersection of Fifth Avenue and South Aiken Street around 12:30 a.m.

The 21-year-old male victim was unconscious at the scene, but was breathing.

There is no word on his condition at the time.

The driver of the car did not stop after the accident.
