PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) — Connellsville head football coach Dave McDonald joined 93-7 The Fan’s John Phillips Saturday morning to discuss his first year on the job.

It’s been an exciting year for McDonald, whose Falcons have qualified for the WPIAL Football Playoffs as the No. 4 seed out of the Foothills Conference just one year after the team suffered through the longest losing streak in WPIAL Class AAAA history.

Dave talks about what inspired him to take the job, what his objectives were entering year one, and what he considers his greatest accomplishment of the 2011 season.

In addition, Dave talks about some of his key players this year, and how he’ll prepare them for a First Round game against, in all likelihood, one of the Quad-A conference champions…

To find out who Connellsville and the other 63 playoff qualifiers will face, be sure to tune into “The MSA Sports Football Pairings Show” Monday from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. on 93-7 The Fan, and be sure to read the “Mr. High School Sports” blog for continuing playoff coverage.
