Heinz Red Zone: Stuffed Jalapeno Peppers

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Heat up your next Steelers party with this delicious recipe featuring jalapeno peppers!

STEELERS HUDDLE “Heinz Red Zone Recipe”: Stuffed Jalapeno Peppers

Ingredients:
12 large, fresh jalapeno peppers
1/2 cup Heinz® Ketchup
3/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1/2 cup brick-style cream cheese, softened
1 cup fresh breadcrumbs
2 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. minced garlic
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. paprika

Preparation:
1. Preheat oven to 400° F.

2. Cut peppers in half lengthwise; seed and hollow out the insides.

3. Blend Heinz Ketchup with cheddar and cream cheeses. Spoon or pipe the filling into halved peppers, mounding slightly.

4. Combine breadcrumbs with butter, garlic, salt, pepper and paprika. Sprinkle crumb mixture on top of each stuffed pepper.

5. Place peppers, filling side up, on a lightly greased baking sheet. Bake for 18 minutes.
