PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) — Upper St. Clair senior quarterback/linebacker and Pitt recruit Dakota Conwell joined 93-7 The Fan’s John Phillips Saturday morning to react to his team’s 42-6 rout of Mount Lebanon Friday night, a senior night victory that gave the Panthers their first conference title since 2006.

Dakota scrambled for 276 yards and three touchdowns in the win, and he talks about the emotion that went into preparing to get revenge on the arch-rival Blue Devils, the team that came from behind to beat them for the Great Southern Conference crown in last year’s regular season finale.

In addition, he also talks about what he learned from watching older brother Dane Conwell play during USC’s run to WPIAL and PIAA titles in ’06, what he likes about Pitt, and what he likes about his current team, compared to the other top dogs in Quad-A, as it enters the postseason…

To find out whom Upper St. Clair and the 63 other playoff qualifiers will face in First Round action, be sure to listen to “The MSA Sports Football Pairings Show” Monday night from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M. on 93-7 The Fan, and keep reading the “Mr. High School Sports” blog for continuing playoff coverage.
