MILFORD TOWNSHIP (KDKA) — State police in Somerset County say a man lost control of his vehicle after hitting a cow along a local roadway.

According to state police, the accident happened on New Centerville Road in Milford Township just after midnight on Saturday.

Authorities say 29-year-old Chad Burkett of Markleton was not hurt in the accident.

State police report that Burkett was driving south along the roadway and had just crested a hill when he struck the cow, which was on the road.

The impact caused Burkett to lose control of his Dodge Ram and it spun off the road.

It became disabled in the crash.
