Woman Rescued After Falling Down Embankment In Collier Twp.

COLLIER TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- First responders rescued a woman in Collier Township.

KDKA's Ralph Iannotti reports the woman fell off a rope swing about 10-15 feet down an embankment.

This happened near the intersection of Noblestown Road and Walker Mill Roads.

The woman injured her ankle. Police say it may be a compound fracture.

She was conscious and alert when they took her in the ambulance for an examination.

This is the second time in the last few months someone may have fallen off the same swing located in a wooded area along the Panhandle Trail.
