4-1-Zoo: J.J. Moore Suspended

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) — Pitt small forward J.J. Moore has been suspended for the team's season opener tonight against Albany.

Moore reportedly participated in an unauthorized summer league game in the offseason, which led to the suspension.

Moore and Lamar Patterson have both seen time at the small forward position in Pitt's two exhibition games. Moore got the start against Kentucky Wesleyan Monday night, but Patterson came in off the bench and scored 22 points to help Pitt bounce back and win after a lackluster start.

It will be interesting to see how head coach Jamie Dixon chooses to implement both players into Pitt's lineup.

Patterson should get the start tonight.
