FRANKLIN PARK (KDKA) — A Cranberry Township man is dead following an accident in Franklin Park overnight.

The crash happened around 1 a.m. on Interstate 79 just before the Route 910 bridge.

State police say 54-year-old Damian Davila was killed when his car struck the back of a FedEx truck.

Authorities say the collision forced Davila’s car to travel several feet and then hit into a utility pole.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries.

State police continue to investigate the crash.
