Veterans Day Closures, Bus Detours For Parade

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — There are some closures and schedule changes around the area today because of the Veterans Day holiday.

City, county, state and federal offices as well as courts are all closed today. The only banks open are some located inside grocery stores.

Post offices are closed with no pickup or delivery of regular mail.

State liquor stores are open and garbage is being picked up normally.

The Port Authority is also running on regular bus and T service. However, some bus routes will be detoured around the Veterans Day parade this morning.

The parade begins at 10:30 a.m. at the corner of Liberty Avenue and 11th Street.

It proceeds down Grant Street to the Boulevard of the Allies and ends up at the former state office building.
