PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) — Sto-Rox head football coach Ron Butschle joined 93-7 The Fan’s John Phillips Saturday to discuss his team’s 40-0 whitewashing of No. 7 seed Brentwood in the WPIAL Quarterfinals at Dormont Stadium Friday night.

Butschle, now in the second year of his second tour of duty with the program, talks about the biggest differences between this year’s varsity squad, which is widely expected to contend, and the Vikings that were upset in the First Round by North Catholic last season.

He talks about the factors leading to the program’s first undefeated regular season ever, including what he feels is better team chemistry.

In addition, Butschle reflects upon the amazing success of sophomore quarterback Lenny Williams.

The second-seeded Vikings battle another 11-0 team, No. 3 seed Bishop Canevin, in the WPIAL Semifinals next Friday night at 7:30 at a site to be announced.
