CLAYSVILLE (KDKA) — A Washington County man is dead following a tree-cutting accident Sunday morning in Buffalo Township.

The Washington County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim as 62-year-old Charles Begley.

Authorities report that Begley was cutting a tree at the back of his residence on South Sunset Beach Road in Claysville around 10:30 a.m. when the accident happened.

According to the Coroner’s Office, the tree broke and fell, pinning Begley underneath.

An autopsy will be performed to determine his cause of death.
