Hill District Victim Names Alleged Shooter Before Dying
HILL DISTRICT (KDKA) -- A Pittsburgh man has been charged in the fatal shooting of a man in the Hill District.
The shooting happened just before 2 p.m. Monday in the 2100-block of Bentley Drive.
Investigators say two men chased the victim, 38-year-old Joseph Boone, of Penn Hills, stood over him and shot him in the chest. He was taken to UPMC Mercy Hospital in critical condition.
Boone identified 27-year-old Kevin Morgan as one of the shooters before he died. Morgan has been charged with criminal homicide and criminal conspiracy.
Police arrested him during a traffic stop at Bentley and Kirkpatrick in the Hill District shortly after 1 p.m. Tuesday.
