Washington Co. Man Accused Of Stealing Jewelry On Service Calls

CHARTIERS TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- Police are asking other victims to come forward after some customers reported their jewelry stolen following service calls.

Police say 29-year-old Christopher Davin, who worked for Diesel's Heating and Air Conditioning in Houston, Washington County, admitted taking jewelry from customers' homes in Chartiers Township.

"In one instance, he asked the lady if he could use her restroom upstairs," Chartiers Township Police Detective Mike Filosi said. "He went upstairs, he was gone for quite a while and while he was up there, he was taking her jewelry."

Davin and his friend, 25-year-old Nicole Lane, are charged with receiving stolen property.

Police say the couple sold the items to a jewelry store in Robinson Township. They are now in the Washington County Jail.

The owner of the business said he was shocked by the arrest and said in 30 years of doing business, nothing like this has happened before.
