EAST MCKEESPORT (KDKA) – A Pepsi truck crashed into an East McKeesport building Wednesday morning and caused significant damage.

According to officials at the scene, the truck driver lost control and crashed into an apartment building in the 1100-block of Broadway Avenue just before noon.

There are no reported injuries in the crash.

However, the crash left significant cracks in the building and at least 12 residents have been forced to evacuate.

The driver told police he took his eyes off the road for a second and hit the first car.

He tried to put on the brakes, but ended up in the building.
