Heinz Red Zone: Sweet & Tangy Kielbasa Bean Casserole

STEELERS HUDDLE “Heinz Red Zone Recipe”: Sweet & Tangy Kielbasa Bean Casserole

Ingredients:
6 15-ounce cans navy beans or other white beans, drained
1 1/2 cups tomato juice
3/4 cup dark brown sugar
3/4 cup strong black coffee
1 medium sweet onion, chopped
1 1/2 cups Heinz® Ketchup
4 slices bacon, chopped
2 tablespoons dark molasses
2 tablespoons dry mustard
2 pounds beef Kielbasa – cut into 1-inch chunks
1 cup chopped and toasted pecans

Preparation:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients (expect Kielbasa and pecans).

3. Pour into a casserole dish. Bake the beans uncovered about 1 hour or until thickened and cooked down.

4. Remove beans from oven and add Kielbasa and toasted pecans. Continue baking for another 30 minutes or until the sauce is thickened Kielbasa is browned.
