Rain To Move Out For Thanksgiving

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The start to this Thanksgiving week has been a dreary one, but Mother Nature has some good things in store for the holiday.

According to KDKA-TV Meteorologist Dennis Bowman, rain will be the main weather issue through mid-day on Wednesday in the Pittsburgh area.

Rain will settle in Tuesday afternoon and become steady and heavy at times. Temperatures will be mild with highs reaching the mid 50s.

Tonight, the rain continues with a low of 47 degrees.

For Wednesday, rain will diminish to a few showers during the morning and then a brightening sky is possible late in the day.

The high will be near 50 degrees. With clearing skies, Wednesday night's low will be chilly at 34 degrees.

However, Thanksgiving Day looks beautiful and figures to be mostly sunny with a high of 50 degrees.

The next 48 hours will have an impact on travel throughout the east.

Rain and even some severe thunderstorms cane be expected from Boston and New York down to Atlanta on Wednesday.

Snow is a good bet for northern New England with up to five inches on Wednesday in Portland, ME.

As a result, travel delays up and down the eastern corridor of the United States could be seen
