South Side Car Vandalism Posted On YouTube

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A family from West Mifflin was shocked when their car was vandalized on the South Side, but even more shocked to find the vandalism caught on tape and even posted on YouTube.

Pat O'Leary's daughter was working late Friday night and returned to find the family car had the front and back windows broken.

When O'Leary searched to find if any businesses in the area had surveillance cameras that might have captured the vandalism, he was told about the video posted on YouTube.

Watch the YouTube video:

He thinks the video crew did the vandalism intentionally to get people to watch the video.

But a man who claims he posted the video says they were filming a pilot for a reality TV show and that he stumbled into the vandal and began filming him.

He says he did not encourage the vandalism.

He would not give KDKA his name and says he doesn't know the name of the vandal.

In the video, the man smashes the back window with his bare hands and shatters the front windshield leaving blood behind.

Police are investigating.
