As previously reported, one unnamed player who tried out with the Pittsburgh Power in Southpointe on Sunday is close to signing a deal with the Arena Football League team. On the eve of Thanksgiving head coach Chris Siegfried dropped some bread crumbs as to who it might be.

Siegfried indicated the mystery player has a family member who not only has AFL experience of his own, but the same family member has spent time with the Steelers within the past decade as well.

Furthermore, Siegfried said the family member has played under him for one of the coach's former employers.

The player is believed to be pretty close to joining the Power, and we'll have more on that as soon as it happens.
