PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) – Joe Beninati, play-by-play voice for the Washington Capitals on Comcast Sports Net, joined the Fan Morning Show on Tuesday to talk about the firing of head coach, Bruce Boudreau on Monday.

The past 10 games have seen the Capitals on a slide that caused General Manager George McPhee to make a change. Joe said that the season was “spiraling in the wrong direction.”

So, McPhee chose to let Boudreau walk, and bring in former Capital Dale Hunter to take over the controls.

Joe gives us the scoop on the weeks leading up to the firing, and what this change could do for the Capitals.

Also, the Penguins travel to Washington to play the Caps on Thursday night, so we get a preview of the action.
