6 Arrested In Local Prostitution Sting

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- Police arrested six people in a prostitution sting.

The operation was set up at the Holiday Inn Express in Cranberry Township.

Cranberry Township police say undercover officers from Cranberry Township, Moon Township and Monroeville worked the hotel Wednesday night.

Police found the suspects through online ads. They allegedly offered sex for money.

"The Internet is their basis of operation," Cranberry Twp. Police Sgt. Chuck Mascellino said. "They just advertise for certain activities and that's how they came about here."

The investigation started when management at the Holiday Inn Express suspected prostitution was happening there.

"The hotel earlier this year suspected activity was occurring at their location," Mascellino said. "They didn't want it to occur so we were called down."

Cranberry police called in trained undercover cops from Moon Township and Monroeville – two communities that have had prostitution problems.

Investigators say the suspects – Sherrie Cogley, of Sarver; Danielle Tabb, of Homestead; Nachell Coleman, of Duquesne; Amber Bonnoni, of Natrona Heights; Tara Wolfe, of New Kensington and Waylon Brown, of Pittsburgh – were taken to the Butler County Jail.

Tabb is free on bond.
