SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP (KDKA) — State police in Mercer County say two people were injured overnight when they were struck by a vehicle in the parking lot of a local bar.

Now, investigators are searching for the driver of that red Chevrolet Trail Blazer.

According to state police, 39-year-old Kurt Miller Jr. of Volant and 26-year-old Gregory Holmes of Zelienople were hurt when they were hit by the vehicle in the parking lot of the Landmark Hotel Bar on Old Ash Road in Springfield Township just before 2 a.m.

Authorities say the vehicle fled from the scene after striking the victims.

State police say the driver was a white male who was wearing a cowboy hat. There was also a passenger inside the vehicle who police also described as a white male wearing a cowboy hat.

Miller was taken by ambulance to Grove City Medical Center to treat a lower left leg injury, officials said. Holmes was treated at the scene.

Anyone with information on the identity of the driver of the Trail Blazer is being asked to contact state police in Mercer County at 724-662-6162.
