MCKEESPORT (KDKA) — The Allegheny Health Department says the norovirus has been detected at a local nursing home.
The McKeesport Kane Regional Care has had about 25 cases in one area of the facility. A few more cases were reported in a separate section.
Dr. Bruce Dixon, director of the ACHD, says the facility is sanitizing the contaminated areas.
No one has been hospitalized.
Back in October, the norovirus sickened students and staff at Pittsburgh Montessori pre-k through 8.
The school closed for one day while a maintenance crew cleaned the building.
