Burglars Break Into Middle Road Inn

By Kym Gable

INDIANA TOWNSHIP (KDAK) — A burglar who targeted a historic business in Indiana Township got away with only a handful of cash from the register and video gaming machines inside.

The owner of The Middle Road Inn says she actually caught a glimpse of the guy.

Natalie Fezza lives right down the street. When she got the alarm call, she raced to the scene and the thief was still inside. She says she saw him look out a window.

He eventually busted through the front door to get away, but only after ripping the security system off the wall and smashing open the cash register.

The establishment has been open since 1836 and Fezza says she and her customers take the crime very personally.
