Men Robbed At Days Inn In New Stanton

NEW STANTON (KDKA) — State police in Greensburg are investigating a violent robbery overnight at the Days Inn in New Stanton.

Four suspects, including one woman, broke into a room early Thursday morning and robbed five men whose ages ranged between 20 and 50.

The men were forced into a bathroom and duct taped. The victims eventually freed themselves and ran to the lobby for help.

One of the suspects had a small pistol. Two others had knives. They got away in a Chevy Cavalier.

The suspects are believed to be in their 20s.

A guest who was a few doors down, Randy Hartzfeld, of Punxsutawney, said he was awakened around 3 a.m. by a knock on the door by state police asking him if he saw or heard anything suspicious.

What is going on in this country? Crime is escalating with no break in sight. I’m inclined to think that people need to start packing so when a thug attempts to rob, steal, rape, murder, etc., them, they will at least have some defense. This is ridiculous how out of control everything has become. It often seems like there are more criminals than honest, hard-working people.
