Steelers' Harrison Spreads Holiday Cheer To Kids
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The Steelers have the weekend off following their win over the Cleveland Browns on Thursday night, so some of the players are using their free time to spread a little holiday cheer.
The second annual James Harrison Family Foundation's "Brunch with Santa" was held on Saturday morning.
Oddly enough, this spirit of giving is a result of Harrison's hard-nosed play on the football field.
"This started from me getting my fines actually last year, and I wanted to start a foundation to begin with, but this kind of jump started the support that the fans gave me from the situation that I was going through," said Harrison. "[I've got to] smile, it's for the kids. It's easy to smile when there's children."
The foundation helps children with disabilities.
