WASHINGTON (KDKA) — Authorities in Washington County are investigating following what is believed to have been a police-involved shooting in the City of Washington late Sunday night.

The incident reportedly happened near East Beau Street.

According to state police, the two victims are reportedly police officers with East Washington Police Department.

According to the Washington Observer-Reporter, reports of the incident on Interstate 70 started coming in just after 11 p.m.

Late Sunday night and into the early morning hours of Monday, emergency dispatchers over police radio had been issuing a description of a man police were searching for who may have possibly been involved in the incident.

There is no word on the conditions of the victims or what may have led to the shooting.

The investigation continues.
