2 Arrested After Police Chase Ends In Carrick

CARRICK (KDKA) – Two people were arrested after a police chase ended in Carrick early Tuesday morning.

According to Baldwin Borough Police, officers began pursuing the Jeep near the intersection of John and Joseph Streets in Baldwin. They checked the license plate and found it was a stolen vehicle.

Officers continued to follow the Jeep until the driver lost control and hit four parked cars on East Agnew Avenue in Carrick.

The Jeep flipped and came to rest on its roof.

"We were sleeping and we heard a big, loud crash. It sounded like a car accident and it woke my wife and I up. Then, after that, we heard the sirens and it sounded like they were coming right down the front of our street. So, we looked out and sure enough there were six or seven cop cars coming down and up the street and we came out as the ambulance pulled up," Mike Reber said.

The driver of the vehicle has been charged in this chase. The exact charges are unclear at this time.

There was also a 15-year-old passenger in the Jeep who has since been released to his mother.
