NORTH SEWICKLEY (KDKA) — A local man decks his house in 70,000 lights to help raise money for charity.

He’s been doing it for 17 years, but overnight someone trashed his display along Route 65 in North Sewickley.

Emmitt Santillo says it looks like thieves tried to break into the donation box.

When they couldn’t open it, they went after his decorations – pulling them out of the ground and tossing them.

Police say they have no real leads other than footprints on some of the displays.

Santillo says he’ll set everything back up and keep collecting donations for the Women’s Center of Beaver County.

He has a message for those responsible.

“Merry Christmas. I hope your life gets better,” he said.
