SOUTH FAYETTE TWP. (KDKA) — A driver was treated for injuries after his van slammed into a guardrail and then flipped into a hillside.

This happened in South Fayette Township at the intersection of Coal Pit Road and Alpine Road.

The commercial van was carrying plumbing supplies.

Two fire companies responded. They were able to get the driver out of the wreckage quickly. His injuries are not serious.

Both roads were closed to traffic for more than an hour.
