4-1-Zoo: Bob Bostad Joins Pitt Staff

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) — The first member of Pitt head football coach Paul Chryst's staff is in place, as Wisconsin offensive line coach Bob Bostad is expected to join Chryst at Pitt.

Wisconsin coach Brett Bielema says Bostad will be the only coach to jump to the Panthers. Whether that's indeed the case remains to be seen.

The University of Wisconsin made Bostad's move official and said any other coaching changes will take place after the season. Wisconsin plays Oregon in the Rose Bowl Jan. 4.

The Post-Gazette has reported that Wisconsin linebackers coach Dave Huxtable could also join Chryst's staff.

Bostad has, like Chryst, done big things while coaching at Wisconsin. His offensive line nearly paved the way for three 1,000-yard rushers in 2010. There are four Bostad-coach offensive linemen in the NFL.

Gabe Carimi won the Outland Trophy as the nation's best offensive lineman in 2010.
