Crews Called Out To 3 Separate Crashes On Route 28

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Three separate accidents sent emergency crews to Route 28 this morning.

All three crashes happened on the northbound side of the road.

The first crash happened before the split at the Highland Park Bridge. The vehicle stuck the guardrail.

Then, one person had to be rescued from an Access vehicle that spun out on the Route 28 ramp over Etna. The person was loaded into an ambulance and taken in for treatment.

There is no word yet on that person's condition.

In the third accident, an SUV spun out just before the Blawnox exit on Route 28 in O'Hara Township.

There is no word on the cause of any of the accidents.
