Munchak Not Interested In Penn State Job

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) — Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Munchak told the Tennessean of Nashville Wednesday that he's not interested in becoming Penn State's next head football coach.

In fact, he said he doesn't want to be anywhere other Tennessee.

"I have a great deal of respect for Penn State and I hope they find a great coach there, but I am happy where I'm at," Munchak said.

"I love my alma mater, but I have no interest in being the head coach at Penn State," he said. "I never want to leave Tennessee."

Munchak was rumored to be Penn State's top target in its coaching search. He is a former Nittany Lions offensive lineman. Munchak has spent his entire playing and coaching career with the Houston Oilers/Tennessee Titans organization.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that Green Bay Packers quarterbacks coach Tom Clements and former NFL coach Eric Mangini are possible candidates for the Penn State job.
