PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Former Penguins Jaromir Jagr and Max Talbot both scored as the Pens lost to the Philadelphia Flyers, 4-2 at the CONSOL Energy Center Thursday night.

Early on, the Penguins took advantage of the crowd and were able to get some momentum. Tyler Kennedy caused a turnover to Jordan Staal who snuck the puck by Sergei Bobrovsky in the first, making it 1-0.

After an offensive zone penalty by James Neal, the Flyers went to work on the power play. Kimmo Timonen slipped one past Marc-Andre Fleury to tie it.

In the second, the Flyers took complete control of the period and the game. Jagr netted his 12th goal at 6:03 and saluted the crowd.

After Philly’s Matt Read made it 3-1, Tyler Kennedy came through with a goal off assists from Evgeni Malkin and Simon Despres.

Talbot had an empty netter for a final score of 4-2.
